Sage Secondary User
A Sage Secondary User is an LA County SAPC-contracted SUD provider that runs its own electronic health record instead of using Sage as its EHR, and submits claims to Sage as 837P or 837I files formatted to SAPC's companion guides. Providers convert from Primary to Secondary during an annual window: the request is due by January 31, 837 testing begins by March 31 and completes by June 30, and the agency must reach an 80% adjudication approval rate. Withdrawal Management 3.7 and 4.0 use the 837I guide; all other services use 837P.
