When the session ends, the recording syncs to NavixScribe, runs through the same transcription pipeline as every other Navix session, and comes back as a finished note in your template.

A session you can't lose
Phone-based scribes stop when the phone does: a call, a notification, a dead battery, an app crash. A Plaud recorder holds the session on the device until it has synced, so an interruption delays an upload instead of erasing an encounter.

What is Plaud?
Plaud makes small, dedicated voice recorders: the Plaud Note Pro card and the Plaud NotePin S wearable. NavixScribe integrates with them so the recording goes straight into Navix instead of into Plaud's own transcription service.
Do I need the Plaud app or a Plaud AI subscription?
No. NavixScribe connects to the recorder directly through Plaud's device SDK. You pair the device inside NavixScribe. Plaud's app and Plaud's cloud transcription are not part of the workflow, so no Plaud subscription is required. The only recurring cost is Navix's connected-device fee of $19.99 per device per month, which covers the device link. Transcription and notes are already included in your Navix plan.
Is it HIPAA compliant?
Session audio is recorded on the device and synced directly to NavixScribe, where it is transcribed and turned into notes under Navix's existing HIPAA controls and business associate agreement. Because Plaud's cloud is never in the path, there is no third-party processor to add.
What happens if my phone dies or loses signal mid-session?
Nothing happens to the session. It is recorded on the Plaud device, not the phone. When the device is back in range and NavixScribe is open, the recording syncs and the note is generated.
Which note formats does it support?
Everything NavixScribe writes: SOAP, DAP, BIRP, GIRP, and SIRP progress notes, group sessions split into individual notes, and form-fill on any custom intake or assessment. The recorder changes how you capture, not what you get.
Which Plaud devices work?
Plaud Note Pro and Plaud NotePin S. If you have an earlier Plaud Note or NotePin, or a different model, contact us and we will confirm support before you buy.
What does it cost?
The device, from Plaud, and $19.99 per connected device per month from Navix. That fee covers the device link; transcription, note generation, and every AI tool are already included in Navix Hub and NavixAI plans at no per-seat charge. There is no Plaud subscription to buy.

Do I have to use Navix Hub, or does this work with NavixScribe standalone?
Both. NavixAI standalone plans include NavixScribe, so a solo clinician on another EMR can use a Plaud recorder with NavixScribe and paste the finished note into their chart. On Navix Hub, the note lands in the chart automatically.
