RAE (Regional Accountable Entity)
A Regional Accountable Entity is a Colorado Medicaid (Health First Colorado) entity that administers the capitated behavioral health benefit for members in its region under the Accountable Care Collaborative Phase III, which launched July 1, 2025. To bill Medicaid behavioral health in Colorado, a provider must enroll with HCPF and contract and credential directly with the RAE for its region. RAEs are HCPF's Medicaid entities, separate from the BHA's non-Medicaid BHASOs.
