The best way to use Plaud in a treatment center

A single clinician can pair a Plaud recorder with NavixScribe in two minutes and be done. A facility cannot. Rolling recorders out across a detox, residential, PHP, and IOP program is an operations project, and the facilities that treat it as one get full adoption in a month. The ones that hand out devices and hope get three enthusiasts and a drawer of chargers.

Here is the playbook I would run as an operator.

Decide the device policy first

Before a single device is unboxed, write down three things:

1. Who records. Every clinician for every billable session, or specific roles first. Start with the highest-volume documentation: group facilitators and the clinicians carrying the largest caseloads. They feel the relief fastest and become the internal advocates.
2. Where the devices live. A Plaud Note Pro per group room, stored on its charger in that room. A NotePin S per clinician who floats, checked out like a badge. Devices that belong to a room do not walk off. Devices that belong to nobody do.
3. What happens to the phone. The point of a dedicated recorder is that the clinician's phone is no longer in the loop. Say so in the policy. Personal phones do not record clients in this building.

Measure two numbers

You will be asked whether this worked. Track two things from day one:

• Notes signed within 24 hours of the session. This is the compliance number and the one that moves first.

The three mistakes that stall adoption

1. Letting clinicians keep recording on their phones "as backup." It reintroduces every problem the recorder solved and it splits the workflow. One capture path.

3. Rolling out to everyone at once with no champion. Start with the group facilitators, let them tell the story in the next all-staff, then expand.
