NavixScribe now works with Plaud: record on the device, get the note in your chart

Starting today, NavixScribe pairs with Plaud recorders. A clinician presses record on a Plaud Note Pro or NotePin S, runs the session, and the recording syncs straight into NavixScribe, where it is transcribed and turned into a finished note in their format. No phone recording, no file transfers, no Plaud cloud.

Why we did this

Every AI scribe on the market, ours included until today, has had the same weak point: the recording runs on a phone or a laptop. Phones ring. Notifications interrupt. Batteries die. Apps get backgrounded and stop. When that happens ten minutes into a session, the clinician does not get a shorter note. They get no note, and they get to write it from memory at 7pm.

In a treatment center that is not an edge case. It is Tuesday.

A dedicated recorder fixes it at the hardware level. The session lives on the device until it has synced. If the phone dies, the recording waits. If Wi-Fi drops, the recording waits. When the device is back in range and NavixScribe is open, it syncs and the note is generated. An interruption delays an upload. It never erases an encounter.

How it works

1. Pair once. Open NavixScribe, tap Connect Plaud, pick the device. NavixScribe connects through Plaud's device SDK, so there is no Plaud app to install and no Plaud account to create.
2. Record on the device. Set the recorder on the table for a group, clip the NotePin S on for a walk-and-talk, leave the phone face down.
3. Get the note. When the session ends, the recording syncs to NavixScribe, runs through the same transcription pipeline as every other Navix session, and comes back as a SOAP, DAP, BIRP, GIRP, or SIRP note, a group session split into individual notes, or a filled custom assessment.

What this means for PHI

This is the part clinical directors ask about first, so here it is plainly. Session audio goes from the recorder to NavixScribe and nowhere else. Plaud's cloud transcription and Plaud's app are not part of the workflow. The audio is handled only under Navix's existing HIPAA controls and business associate agreement. There is no third-party processor to add and no Plaud subscription to buy. Navix charges $19.99 per connected device per month for the device link; transcription and notes are already part of your plan.

Who should care

• Clinicians who already own a Plaud. Keep the device. Connect it and stop moving files by hand.
• Facilities standardizing capture. One recorder per clinician, one pairing step, one pipeline, and no BYOD phones recording PHI in the building.
• Group and IOP programs. A recorder in the middle of the room catches the whole session. NavixScribe splits it into a note per client.
